this class you will learn how to stretch your body & relax your mind in a simple & profound way . You will continue
to enjoy this new ‘freedom' throughout the entire day/evening & have access to tools & resources so that you
can continue to practise at home. Life just ‘works' when our body & mind are relaxed. When we choose to access
our inner calm we become the ‘observer' with more confident perspective on life. When we relax our muscles we move with
a more graceful & fluid confidence. Learning how to relax your body (stretching) & calm your mind (guided relaxation)
is remarkably easy & the greatest gift you can give yourself. It is one therapy that truly ‘gets-to-the-point' by
stretching muscles in ways never felt before.
When we stretch we interrupt the ‘stress dialogue' or tension that occurs
between the muscle & brain. We achieve this by stretching our muscles with a graceful precision to create space for a
more open & free pattern to immerge. This relaxed state is the nature of the muscles in our body. Stretching reprograms
them back to this place. Inviting a ‘relaxation response' as Herbert Benson coined in his book ‘The Relaxation
Response' within your body is not only simple but an intrinsic & deeply therapeutic component in relaxing your mind. A
whole host of bio-chemical & physiological changes occur when we do this. You will enjoy a 10 minute guided relaxation
where you will experience a deep self-induced level of stillness which you can learn to access at any time.
